Are capacity restrictions on Dénia beaches?
The beaches in Dénia that have capacity restrictions are those located next to the port: Punta del Raset and Marineta Cassiana, and all the coves in the area of Les Rotes. Check here for more information on the safety measures on the beaches, as well as their facilities and services
Can I go to Les Rotes coves by car?
Yes, you can but in high season is an area with a lot of traffic and can be difficult to park and circulate. We advise to use the local bus line to Les Rotes. Check here the DENIBUS schedules and stops
The final part of Les Rotes, has been closed with a barrier to vehicles. For this reason, a free train service has been enabled during the summer of 2021 and until August 31. It departs next to the public parking located in Carretera de Les Rotes, near the restaurant Quinto Pino, and it makes transfers to the end of the area. Its schedule is uninterrupted from 8 to 18 h, with a passing frequency every 15 minutes.
Can I go to the beach with my dog?
There is a dog friendly beach located at the northern breakwater of the port of Denia, south of the break located behind the marina El Portet.
Dogs are not allowed on most beaches in the bathing season, from 1 June to 31 October. During the rest of the year there are some restrictions. Check here more information on the regulations
Is it necessary to book the visit to the Cova Tallada?
Yes, it is required authorization to access in the cave from June 15 to September 30. The booking is made online through the website Natural Parks of the Generalitat Valenciana, it is free. Check here information about the reservation

Are there cultural guided tours in Denia?
Yes, there are several possibilities to enjoy guided tours in Denia. Please consult the possibility of making the visits in your language.
The DÉNIA TOWN HALL through the Archaeological and Museum Area offers guided tours throughout the year to various points of archaeological interest: Cova Catxupa and the Iberian site of L'Alt de Benimaquia. Can I take the tourist train up to the castle?
There is currently no tourist train that runs to the castle or do the city tour. However, during the summer of 2021 a train service makes free transfers through the final part of Les Rotes road, which has limited the access to vehicles. What can I do with children in Dénia?
The city and its diverse natural environment offer a large number of varied proposals to enjoy together with the children: visits and cultural activities, activities of active tourism and leisure in nature, leisure activities, etc... Check here family plans
How do identification bracelets for lost children work?
The Local Police of Dénia distributes free identification bracelets to families during the summer period, so that in case the children get lost, their parents can be located quickly.
The bracelets can be collected at tourist offices or at the local police station.
For children and their parents to be easily located, relatives must provide telephone numbers, ID or passport and an address where they can be reached, the data is immediately associated with the number of the bracelet delivered.

Yes, it is located at 16 Magallanes Street, it works from Monday to Saturday from 8 to 15 h. And it is an advisable place to visit. Check here more information
What souvenir can I buy in Denia or the area?
We suggest you to visit the local shops, as well as the markets of Denia and surroundings. In them you can buy gastronomic products elaborated and cultivated in the region, such as wines and typical liquors, Bomba rice and Bombón rice, typical pastries and sweets. Can I visit the fish auction in the port?
The access to auctioning is not allowed to the general public, mainly to professionals. But the company SERCULTUR offers a port guided tour, that includes the auction´s visit. Please consult the possibility of the tour in your language. Check here for more information and contact details
Can I buy in the fish market?
Yes, the same building of the Lonja (fish market) houses a sale area open to the public, it is called Mercat de Peix. There you can buy fresh fish and seafood recently arrived in port, it works from Monday to Friday at different times in the afternoon depending on the season. FISHING IN DÉNIA
Where can I fish in Denia?
Fishing is permitted if you have a fishing license, in this case you can fish on all beaches except on Punta del Raset beach, the Cabo de San Antonio Marine Reserve area and in ports.
The fishing in the season from 1 June to 1 October is allowed from 21:00 to 7:00 hours only. No time restrictions for the rest of the year.
Where can I apply for a fishing license?
The application can be processed at PROP office of the Dénia City Council, where you will be issued a document to make the payment of the fee. The license will be received by email, the reception process is not immediate and may take a while.

DÉNIA CLEANING SERVICES
How does the household goods collection service work?
Dénia City Council has at the disposal of the public a free and easy to request home collection service. It is only necessary to call at phone number +34 96 643 11 54 and the service will go to the door of your house to pick up goods, junk, appliances, tools or furniture.
How does the Ecopark work?
Dénia City Council has at its disposal a free Ecoparque service, where you can deposit, for example, vegetable waste, plastics, paper and cardboard, bulky furniture, electrical appliances and household appliances, hazardous waste.
It is located in the Polígono Madrigueres on the way to the Municipal Cemetery. It runs from Monday to Friday, from 8 to 20 h uninterruptedly and Saturdays from 8 to 14 hours.
