"La nit de les ànimes"

The Dénia Town Council, through the Youth and Culture departments, has prepared a full programme of activities to celebrate ‘La Nit de les Ànimes 2025’ (Halloween 2025).

The programme will begin on 25 October at the Casal Joven with the escape room ‘El último exorcismo’ (The Last Exorcism), an activity designed for young people over the age of 14, which requires prior registration to participate.

On 28, 29 and 30 October, at 7 pm, the same venue will host a youth horror film series, with screenings of "Parpadea dos veces si estoy en peligro", Smile 2 and Abigail, recommended for ages 16 and over.

The highlight will come on 31 October with the celebration of the traditional ‘Nit de les Ànimes’ (Halloween), which will include a horror tour through the streets of Sant Narcís, Nou, Desemparats, Forn d'Algarra and carreró de la  Morería. The tour will be open from 5 pm to 8.30 pm for families (with capacity limited to 1,400 people with wristbands) and from 10.30 pm to 1 am for young people and adults.

The day will be accompanied by a lively mobile disco in the Plaza del Consell, from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm, and the ‘Cementerio de miedo’ (Scary Cemetery) photocall in the Raconet de la Infanta Margarita, open from 5 pm to 9 pm. There will also be make-up and painting workshops in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Finally, the cooperative dance ‘Thriller’ will tour the squares of Consell, Maria Hervás, Glorieta, Town Hall and the intersection of Marqués de Campo with Calle Diana to the Plaza del Consell, from 7.30 pm to 10 pm.

For its part, the Dénia Public Library, together with the reading agencies of Jesús Pobre, La Xara and Rafael Chirbes, will join in the celebration with the project ‘Asusta el miedo’ (Scary Fear), special decorations and a bibliographic guide on Valencian legends and traditions of fear.

In addition, several storytelling sessions have been scheduled for all audiences.
