Mountain route along the old Montgó Agricultural Colonypath, which runs along the northern slope, with a horizontal route.
Once you have climbed the first section of the Camí de la Colonia, turn right towards Racó del Bou. At the end of this section, take an uphill path to the east to climb up to the Creuta and the Cova de l'Aigua.
The mountain vegetation has occupied the terraces where vines, figs, almonds and carob trees were previously grown, a vestige of the Montgó Agricultural Colony.
In spring the flowers carpet the land, making the biodiversity of the Montgó clear with more than 650 species of plants.
Magnificent mountain views over Dénia and the castle, the Segaria mountain range and the coast line of the Gulf of Valencia. On clear days you can see the mountains of Ibiza and even Majorca on the horizon.
An ideal route to do in the afternoon to enjoy a wonderful sunset.
