Location and characteristics:
Located on the coastal line south of the city, 4.8 km from the urban center. It is at the end of the rocky coves of Les Rotes, in an area that surprises with the beauty of the tones of its waters. It is a rocky cove ideal for snorkeling and enjoying a natural and quiet cove, in direct contact with nature, in a protected environment of great ecological value.
* Extension: less than 1 km.
* Type: rocky cove.
* Access: via the road from Barranc del Monyo to Les Arenetes, towards the end, where there is a viewpoint with views towards Cape San Antonio.
Important natural values:
Natural Reserve of the Marine Bottoms of Cape San Antonio and posidonia meadows.
Environmental commitment:
There will be no service for the removal of POSIDONIA, for the conservation of marine meadows in the Valencian Community.
The practice of scuba diving is limited and requires prior permission from the Territorial Directorate of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food, and Water of Alicante (Tel. 012 / 963 866 000).
Services and facilities:
During the mid and high season, the cove offers the following services:
- Marking service: From June 1 to September 15, all beaches in Dénia have a marking line parallel to the coast to ensure the safety of bathers.
- Channel for the entry and exit of boats.
- Surveillance of the Cova Tallada: 1 person from June 15 to October 15.
