Location and characteristics:
Situated on the coastal line to the south of the city, 3.3 km from the urban center. It is part of the rocky coves of Les Rotes, noted for the beauty of the hues of its waters. It is an ideal place for snorkeling.
* Extension: less than 1 km.
* Type: rocky cove.
* Access: via the road from Barranc del Monyo to Les Arenetes.
Environmental commitment:
There will be no service for the removal of POSIDONIA to conserve the seagrass meadows, contributing to the preservation of the local ecosystem and the protection of biodiversity in the Valencian Community.
Important natural values:
Natural Reserve of the Marine Bottoms of Cabo de San Antonio and seagrass meadows.
- The practice of scuba diving is limited and requires prior authorization from the Territorial Directorate of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food, and Water of Alicante (Tel. 012 / 963 866 000).
Services and facilities:
During the mid and high season, the cove offers the following services:
- Lifeguard and surveillance service
* From June 1 to September 30, and on weekends and holidays until October 12.
* Schedule: June, September, and October from 11:00 to 19:00; July and August from 10:30 to 20:00.
* Lifeguard station on Fénix Street.
* Elevated lookout chair.
* Watchtower.
- Marking service: From June 1 to September 15, all beaches in Dénia have a marking line parallel to the coast to ensure the safety of bathers.
- Entrance and exit channel for boats.
- Public restrooms on C/ Fénix, near the Trampolí area next to the rescue and lifeguard station.
- Surveillance of Cova Tallada:
1 person from June 15 to October 15.
