You’ll visit Cova Tallada from the water, in one of our kayaks. But before setting off, we’ll have a meeting 30 minutes before the excursion to explain the safety rules and give you the equipment. Is this your first time kayaking? Don’t worry, our guides will help you every step of the way so you can quickly get used to the kayak. You’ll be an expert by the end!
The kayak excursion along the Denia coast will begin at Les Rotes beach. We’ll paddle 600 meters to reach the interior of Cova Tallada, a cave that once served as a quarry for the rough stone used to build some of the most important buildings in towns like Denia and Jávea. It also served as a shelter during World War II.
Although not sculpted by nature over time, this cave is considered part of the Montgó Natural Park landscape. It’s undoubtedly a must-see for anyone visiting the Denia area.
We will then enter the cave, leaving the kayaks aside for a caving session to see firsthand how the rough rock was extracted. After this activity, we will put on our snorkeling gear and, together with our guides, enjoy exploring the flora and fauna surrounding Cova Tallada while snorkeling.
