Journalist and gastronomic popularizer Paco Alonso proposes a journey through some of the most deeply rooted traditions of our culinary culture. Based on his books La Cultura de l’Esmorzar and La Cultura del Mercat , we will talk about the importance of markets as meeting places and about the Valencian lunch as a custom that is an essential part of our identity.

Throughout the talk, the author will reflect on the social and cultural value of these everyday habits that, beyond gastronomy, speak of our history, our relationships, and a way of understanding life linked to the territory. For generations, markets have been places of exchange, coexistence, and transmission of knowledge, while lunch has become established as one of the most unique expressions of Valencian popular culture.

With a friendly and engaging style, Paco Alonso will share experiences, anecdotes and reflections on a gastronomic heritage that is still alive and forms part of our collective memory. An invitation to rediscover our culinary traditions and to appreciate the cultural richness hidden behind the flavors, products and customs of our environment.
