Visita guiada Museo Arqueológico. Dianium, Daniya, Dénia. Una ciudad desde el mar

DIANIUM, DANIYA, DÉNIA, A CITY OF MAR ESTANT, refers to what we have historically been and what we are. The colonial stimuli that incorporated the Iberian populations into Mediterranean civilization came from the sea. The sea allowed the arrival of Rome and from the port of Dianium the wine produced in the territory would come out. Justinian’s ships sailed the seas, and shortly afterwards, those of Islam, to take power over our lands. The sea and the ships built in the shipyards, on the sea itself, allowed the domination of the Balearic Islands and Sardinia during the splendid Taifa. The port of the village, later a city, was a galley base, a painful place of embarkation for expelled Moriscos, an object of piracy and the target of sieges. The staging of the colonizations during the War of Succession will please and surprise you. New technologies, the language of Artificial Intelligence, allow us to observe the old collections from another point of view adapted to new realities, where a dignified merchant of Dianium or an imposing James II roam freely through the museum rooms. A careful design of the contents of the display cases imbues the exhibited materials with a scenographic quality that seems to delineate architectural forms.
