Under the name Lubre: 40th Anniversary , the Galician band celebrates a musical history that has made it one of the leading names in European and Latin American folk music. Luar Na Lubre has shared the stage with artists such as Mike Oldfield , The Waterboys , The Corrs , and Bob Geldof , as well as prominent figures in Spanish music like Víctor Manuel , Miguel Ríos , Luz Casal , and Ismael Serrano . The group was founded with the purpose of preserving, reinterpreting, and projecting traditional Galician music toward new horizons. Its very name, which can be translated as “moonlight in the sacred forest of the Celts,” reflects the connection between identity, memory, and modernity that defines all its work.
