Mauricio Vidales, poet, writer, screenwriter, editor and narrator of audiovisual documentaries, born in Cali, Colombia in 1962. He has resided in Europe since the end of 2001. He has published the following books of poetry, prose poetry, and essays:

Since 2002, he has given poetry recitals and talks on Latin American political, social, and cultural developments in France, Spain, Ireland, Belgium, and Germany, where he currently resides. Some of his poems and prose texts have been translated into Catalan and German. In other facets of his creative work, he has participated as an editing advisor, screenwriter, co-director and narrator of the documentaries “In the Andean-Amazonian Putumayo. Copper or Life”, 2024 and “Echoes of Water. Let’s Save the Wetlands of the Savannah”, 2025 , in collaboration with the Valencian documentary filmmaker, Pau Soler.
