Information about

The Dénia City Council has created inclusive pictograms for the Dénia festivals (Fallas and Moors and Christians) which are placed in strategic locations to facilitate cognitive and visual accessibility for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or comprehension difficulties.

The location and format of these pictograms includes:

  • Posters and festival programs: They are incorporated into the handbills and posters advertising the Fallas and Moors and Christians festivals.
  • Fallas clubs and festival headquarters: They are located in the fallas clubs and the headquarters of the filaes, especially on the facades and entrances.
  • Public spaces and monuments: Places of festive interest are signposted, such as the locations of the fallas (fallas monuments).
  • Information panels: These are used on special panels, which often include the augmentative communication system with schematic images (approved by ARASAAC).

These pictograms have been designed in collaboration with the Raquel Payá Special Education Center, the company City and the Dénia Local Fallas Board, to identify positions, events and spaces of the festivities
