The 2026 edition will once again offer five consecutive nights of concerts, with performances taking place mainly on the esplanade of the Castle and a special closing in the Plaza del Consell, in the heart of Dénia’s historic center.
A program that will once again bring together some of the most interesting voices and projects in the folk and roots music scene.
The concerts will take place from Wednesday, July 22nd to Saturday, July 25th at 11 pm on the esplanade of Dénia Castle . The closing ceremony will be held on Sunday, July 26th at 8:30 pm in the Plaza del Consell .
On Wednesday the 22nd, the festival will open with “Robina”, the new work by the artist from Oliva, an intense and delicate proposal that starts from the cant valencià to explore new sounds.
The second evening, on Thursday the 23rd, will feature Maestro Espada with “Maestro Espada”, a project where traditional farming practices, electronic music and popular music coexist in a natural and surprising way.
The third night, Friday the 24th, will be Mayte Martín ‘s turn, who will present “Tatuajes”, a repertoire built from sensitivity and the reinterpretation of great songs by fundamental authors.
Next, on Saturday the 25th, Luar Na Lubre will perform with “Lubre: 40th anniversary”, a celebration of the career of one of the essential bands of Galician and peninsular folk.
The festival will conclude on Sunday the 26th with Colla El Trapig and «Pas al Trapig», a participatory and multidisciplinary stage proposal that will fill the Plaza del Consell with music, dance and popular culture.
With more than three decades of history, Música al Castell has become the oldest folk festival in our lands and an essential event of the summer nights by the Mediterranean.
