SEKELEKA: City of Refuge

DOCUMENTARY

“SEKELEKA: City of Refuge” is a 57-minute documentary film, narrated as a Travelogue, which seeks to make visible the work carried out in the Social Integration Center Macía, Sekeleka (Mozambique).

There live together children and young people, both with functional diversity and neurotypical, united by the same reality: vulnerability or social risk, either by malnutrition, neglect, mistreatment or abuse.
Led by the Valencian missionary Sara Marcos Velert, we travel their paths, we visit some of the families they serve, we enter the bustle of their local market, we know the different areas of work in which they are focused, and we listen, through first person testimonies, the experiences of some of its protagonists.
An audiovisual piece that invites us to immerse ourselves in the day to day of a work that seeks to rescue the value and dignity of every human life.
