Today, May 7, the Tourism Service has organized the Awareness Day “Know the Posidonia” aimed at the tourism entrepreneurs of Dénia directly related to customer service.

The aim of the conference was to raise awareness of the benefits of posidonia for the species of the marine ecosystem and the actions carried out by the Marine Environmental Service and Fisheries (talk given by Antonio Martínez, technician of the Marine Environmental Service and Fisheries).

On the other hand, the technician of the Beaches Service has made a presentation on the presence of posidonia remains on the beaches of Dénia, its importance for the dune ecosystem and the management of its removal according to Decree 64/2022 of May 20 of the Consell for the conservation of seagrass meadows in the Valencian Community.

The attendees have shown great interest in both talks as they are aware of the importance of knowing how to transmit complete and detailed information to their customers.
