Beaches to go with dogs in Dénia

Enjoying the sea in the company of your pet is possible in Dénia. The City Council enables each season a specific stretch of coast where dogs are welcome, always under basic rules that ensure the coexistence and safety of all users.

Dog bathing area in Dénia

In the area of the Escollera Norte to the south of the breakwater located behind the marina Marina El Portet: there is a beach that is a space enabled to go with dogs throughout the year. It is a quiet, natural area where your pet can run, play and swim in the sea.

In the rest of the beaches there are restrictions depending on the season:

From June 1 to October 31, dogs are not allowed on the beaches because it is considered bathing season.

From November 1 to March 1 dogs are allowed on the beaches of Dénia, except for the following beaches because they are areas of special protection (which are not allowed throughout the year for this reason):

  • Deveses, area next to the Molinell river
  • Els Molins: from C/ Llac Tiberiades (Estanyó restaurant) to Molins point, C/ Mar Cantábrica – Mar Mediterránea (Cova del Mero restaurant).

From March 1 to May 31, as it is the breeding period of the plover, a protected bird that nests in several points of the coast of Dianes, dogs are only allowed on the following beaches:

  • Marineta Cassiana
  • Les Marines: From C/ Musola (Blay Beach) to C/ Rascló.
  • Les Bovetes: from C/ Rascló to C/ Mar Mediterránea-Mar Cantábrica (restaurant Cova del Mero)
