Jesus Pobre, La Xara and the region

Among the lesser known treasures of Dénia are its two districts: Jesus Pobre and La Xara. Two small jewels with their own identity, which preserve the mediterranean essence in their rhythm of life, their environment and their traditions. Strolling through its quiet streets, surrounded by almond groves, vineyards and orchards, is to discover the most authentic and close face of the Marina Alta.

In Jesús Pobre, the Riurau Market has become an essential meeting point, where local producers offer every Sunday fruits, vegetables, sausages, breads and wines of the land, in a cozy atmosphere that unites gastronomy and culture. The monumentality of the Riurau and the proximity to the Montgó Natural Park invite you to enjoy nature and heritage in equal parts.

For its part, La Xara maintains the charm of small towns, with a serene urban layout and an agricultural environment that still marks the daily life of its inhabitants. Its proximity to Dénia makes it an ideal place to combine rural tranquility with the vitality of the urban center.

Along with these villages, the region of Marina Alta displays a mosaic of landscapes and experiences: coves with crystal clear waters, inland villages full of history, hiking trails between mountains and an internationally recognized gastronomy. A territory where tradition and modernity go hand in hand to offer the visitor a complete and memorable experience.
