The museum is located on the second floor of the old Dénia-Carcaixent train station. On the first floor of the same building is located the Art Center “L’Estació”.
The permanent exhibition of toys was opened to the public in May 1999. It shows the toy production of Dénia from its beginnings (1904) until the 1960s.
A wide variety of toys of the time show the importance of the toy industry from 1904 onwards. Toys made of metal and, above all, wood characterize the toy production of the time, creating from a fleet of pedal cars and airplanes and other wheeled devices, to sailing ships, carts, trucks that reproduce the great land transport, wooden kitchens, bowling and ring games, etc.
