Fish market

Every afternoon, from Monday to Friday, the port of Dénia comes alive with the arrival of the fishing boats. This is when one of the most authentic rituals of the city begins: the unloading of fresh fish and the direct sales at the fish market to restaurants and food companies.

From Monday to Friday (except biological stop) the fishing boats return to port at 4 pm

The professional fish auction, a traditional and fascinating activity, can be witnessed by individuals starting at 5 p.m., in several ways:

• Accessing the upper floor, through the side stairs of the fish market and observing the auction from the upper windows.
• Prior authorization from the Fishermen’s Guild, to attend the auction on the first floor.
