Located in the central Cavallers street, number 1, this museum occupies an elegant 19th century bourgeois house, a symbol of the splendor achieved by Dénia thanks to the raisin trade. The building, originally built by wealthy families linked to that industry, is in itself an important piece of local heritage.
What to see in the museum?
- First floor: a photographic exhibition of the traditional raisin process, from the grape harvest to its export to countries such as England, Northern Europe and America.
- Second floor: recreation of a 19th century bourgeois salon, with period Manises ceramic floor tiles, elegant clothing and typical jewelry.
- Second floor: collection of tools and objects related to the cultivation of vines, fishing and rural life, illustrating the social and economic evolution of the city.
