Located in the central Plaza del Convento, the Church of San Antonio is part of the old complex of the Franciscan Convent of San Antonio de Padua, founded in the late sixteenth century and partly destroyed, being rebuilt its church in the eighteenth century after several war conflicts.
Open only during religious celebrations and regular mass hours.
Originally part of a convent with cloister and orchard, today only the partial remains of the cloister are preserved, an architectural testimony of the seventeenth century. After the disentailment, the church remained standing, becoming a parish church, while the convent grounds were used for other purposes.
