Ghost stories: tales of the invisible .
Come and tell us a story you know or have experienced.
Ghost stories are tales of inexplicable encounters and events: conversations with people who have died, objects that suddenly appear, visions of relatives who have long since passed away, sounds that shouldn’t be heard… In short, signs and messages that invite us to think that the improbable can be possible. We all know someone to whom this has happened, or we may even have experienced it ourselves. These stories are oral heritage, memory and present of our people. Listening to them is always amazing. And counting them becomes as necessary as giving them the value they deserve. That’s why Pintadera & Marjànka are collecting these stories wherever they go… and now it’s our turn. Do you have a story to tell?
With the participation of Fran Pintadera , writer, storyteller, playwright in social theatre and researcher at the Laboratory
National Laboratory of Oral Materials and Mariana Marjànka , social worker, artist, social theater trainer and researcher also from the Laboratory
National Institute of Oral Materials.
The National Laboratory of Oral Materials (National Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM) is a multidisciplinary study of oral discourses and the manifestations associated with them (gestures, sound, memory, corporeality, ritual, musical expressions, etc.). The object of study aims to understand social dynamics, forms of communication, thought structures, the formation of local knowledge, traditional practices, artistic manifestations, etc.
