The complex consists of two buildings: the Convent (XVIII century), privately owned, and the church (XVII century). On the outside, the complex forms a homogeneous block.
The church has a rectangular floor plan, with a single nave in four sections, with a barrel vault and side chapels that do not communicate with each other. The last section is formed by the main chapel (last quarter of the 17th century); it was built after the nave of the church and has a completely different style from the rest of the temple. The interior elevation is ordered based on Doric pilasters, whose capitals all follow the same model.
The main presbytery is conceived more as a dressing room than as a chapel, which was intended to keep the image of Jesus Pobre.

Of the old images, we only know of the image of Jesus Pobre from a photograph. It is a sculpture that represents, in small size, Christ lying, belonging to the XVIII century.
ITINERARY
We start our itinerary from the Plaza Jaime I. We must locate Germans Maristes street, where we will see, on our right, a tall building in gray tones with dark windows (Dénia Courts). We will continue along this street leaving again, on our right, an uncovered municipal parking. We join the Camí del Saladar and drive for about 500 m. until we reach a crossroads where we take the road on the right towards the Avenida de Jávea y Gata a Dénia. We go about 200 m. and turn left taking the continuation of the Av. de Jávea and Gata to Dénia. From this point, follow this road for 1.6 km. We will find a crossroads indicating: on our right, La Xara; on our left, Jesús Pobre. We turn left and continue along the provincial road from la Xara to Jesús Pobre for 5.4 km. We will find a detour to the right called Avenida Dénia (Partida a Jesús Pobre), we drive 0.8 km and we are already in the village of Jesús Pobre. We go to the Plaza de la Iglesia and we can make our visit and enjoy the surroundings in a quiet and hospitable village.
