On the journey along the mountain road from Dénia to Xàbia, the detour to Cabo de San Antonio offers breathtaking views and spectacular cliffs from the viewpoints at the Cabo de San Antonio recreation area. In Xàbia, we’ll discover the charm of its historic centre and the maritime atmosphere of its harbour. From there, the route continues to Cala del Moraig, famous for its crystal-clear waters, and Cova dels Arcs, a unique geological formation sculpted by the sea.
Please note: drive with particular caution on the Dénia-Xàbia road, commonly known as Les Planes, as it is a mountain road with sharp bends and steep gradients. There is an alternative route to Xàbia via the inland route: Dénia–La Xara–Xàbia.
• A majestic 160-metre-high cliff offering breathtaking views over the Cabo de San Antonio Marine Reserve, a protected area of great natural and ecological value.
• Of interest: this is the starting point of the ‘15 viewpoints of Xàbia’ route, a 25-kilometre trail that ends at Granadella Cove.
• A stroll through its cobbled streets where you’ll find three architectural gems: the Municipal Market, the former convent and the Church of San Bartolomé, and Xàbia Town Hall.

• Of particular note is the Church of Our Lady of Loreto, which impresses with its inverted ship-shaped roof and the exterior columns representing the twelve apostles.
Moraig Cove and the Cova dels Arcs
• A gravel cove of great beauty, at the southern end of which lies the Cova dels Arcs, one of the most significant sea caves on the Alicante coast.
