The beaches closest to the town centre can be reached on foot due to their proximity to the city. They are located just outside the northern and southern breakwaters that roughly mark the urban area. There is also a bus service operated by Denibus that runs along the beaches, stopping at various points. In total, there are more than 13 km of beaches to the north, in the Les Marines area, and about 5 km to the south, in Les Rotes.
Getting to Dénia’s beaches is easy thanks to the Denibus urban service. Three regular routes connect the city with the main beaches and coves: Les Marines, Costa Calma and Les Rotes. This way, you can forget about the car and enjoy the sea in a more comfortable and sustainable way.
During the high season, from 14 June to 14 September, the last stretch of Les Rotes has restricted vehicle access between 08:00 and 20:00. A controlled barrier regulates entry, which is only allowed in specific cases:
Alternative parking and tourist train
To make access easier, there is a free car park with 140 spaces on the Les Rotes road (Barranc del Monyo, 96). From there, a free tourist train departs every 30 minutes, connecting with the end of Les Rotes between 09:00 and 14:00 and 16:00 and 20:00. If you prefer walking, you can easily reach the area from the car park via Unicorni Street, following the coastal promenade.
