This section of the Greenway of Dénia offers a quiet and accessible route that allows you to discover some of the most unique elements of the rural environment of the municipality. Through paths surrounded by orange groves and rain-fed crops, the route connects with two spaces of great symbolic and environmental value: the Olivera del Diluvi and the historic Torrecarrals estate.
The Olivera del Diluvi is a monumental tree, which is 700-800 years old. Its name refers to its resistance to the great flood of the last century, and today it has become a living symbol of the strength of the land and the agricultural landscape of Dénia. The tree is signposted and protected, and is one of the most photographed points along the route.
Shortly after, the road leads to Torre Carrals, a tower declared of Cultural Interest and that was part of an old fortified manor house. Later the tower was attached to a building used as a dwelling. Although access to its interior is private, the surroundings allow us to appreciate the historical value of this complex, which is part of the cultural heritage of the municipality.
The route starts at the junction of the Vía Verde with the Camí del Palmar.
