Les Rotes: Marineta Cassiana promenade and coves.

This itinerary runs along the Marineta Cassiana promenade and the seafront of the coves of Les Rotes, one of the most emblematic coastal areas of Dénia, known for its rocky coves, crystal clear waters and its scenic and natural wealth. Its waters and seabed have been declared a marine reserve.

The route allows you to enjoy the transition between the urban area and the protected environment of the Montgó Natural Park, combining the sea breeze with views of the rugged coastline, the biodiversity of the coast and ideal places for swimming or photography. It is a walk where nature, sea and tranquility meet in perfect harmony.

Tips for the visit

In the summer season: ideal for early morning or late afternoon, avoiding the hottest hours. Rest of the year: ideal during sunlight hours.
Wear comfortable shoes and, if desired, swimsuit and basic snorkeling equipment to enjoy the seabed.
Make stops at the bird and cetacean observatory and along the route to appreciate the views and take pictures.
Respect coastal protection regulations and do not access restricted areas for safety or conservation reasons.
During the summer season, take into account the lack of shadows along the route.
Along the route there are several wooden benches and restaurants.

Accessibility

The Marineta Cassiana promenade is accessible although there are steep ramps next to the stairs that separate the various sections of the promenade. After the promenade, the road surface combines sections of asphalt, dirt and cobblestone path. Both the dirt sections and the cobblestone path have irregularities that make it somewhat difficult to walk on.
