Heading towards Alicante, just 30 km from Dénia, lies the town of Calpe, dominated by the imposing Peñón de Ifach (332 m), which was designated a Natural Park in 1987. The route involves climbing to the summit, from where you can enjoy some of the best panoramic views of the Costa Blanca, as well as taking the opportunity to visit the archaeological site of La Pobla d’Ifach, the Baños de la Reina and the town of Calpe.
The tour begins at the Park’s Interpretation Centre, situated at the foot of the rock, where visitors can find information on the area’s flora, fauna and geology. The medieval site of La Pobla d’Ifach is also located at the foot of the rock.
Facing a bay of calm waters, sheltered by the Peñón de Ifach, lies the archaeological site of Los Baños de la Reina (2nd–5th centuries AD), the remains of a Roman villa, one of the most important sites in the whole of Roman Hispania.
Along the Voramar Borumbot path, from Arenal-Bol beach to the Manzanera residential area, and the Voramar Calalga path from the cove of the same name to Les Bassetes marina.
